Subterranean termite swarmers
Be on the lookout for these little creatures. Like all social insects, termites swarm in the early spring and summer, usually 2 to 3 weeks after the carpenter ants. Seeing swarmers doesn't necessarily mean you have termites, but is a good indication that you need to have your home inspected. Remember, termites occur and exist naturally in our environment and tend to be nature's way of returning dead wood back to the ground so seeing them can be quite normal.
